Composition

1 ml solution for injection contains 100 mg enrofloxacin.

Indications

Cattle: Treatment of respiratory tract infections caused by enrofloxacin-susceptible strains. Treatment of severe acute mastitis, digestive tract, septicaemia, arthritis associated with acute mycoplasmosis caused by enrofloxacin-susceptible strains of Mycoplasma bovis in cattle less than 2 years of age.

Sheep: Treatment of digestive tract infections, septicaemia, mastitis.

Goats: Treatment of respiratory tract infections, digestive tract infections, septicaemia, mastitis

Pigs: Treatment of respiratory tract infections caused by enrofloxacin-susceptible strains of Pasteurella multocida, Mycoplasma spp. and Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae. Treatment of tract infections, postpartum dysgalactia syndrome, PDS (MMA syndrome) caused by enrofloxacin-susceptible strains of Escherichia coli and Klebsiella Spp. Treatment of tract infections, septicaemia caused by enrofloxacin-susceptible strains of Escherichia coli.

Dogs: Treatment of infections of the digestive tract, respiratory tract and urogenital tract (including prostatitis, adjunctive antibiotic medication for pyometra), skin and wound infections, otitis, caused by susceptible strains of: Staphylococcus spp., Escherichia coli, Pasteurella spp., Klebsiella spp., Bordetella spp., Pseudomonas spp., Proteus spp.

Cats: Treatment of infections of the digestive tract, respiratory tract and urogenital tract (as adjunctive antibiotic medication for pyometra), skin and wound infections caused by susceptible strains of: Staphylococcus spp., Escherichia coli.

Contraindications

Do not use the product in case of resistance to quinolones. Do not use the product in case of cartilage growth disorders and/or during damage to the musculoskeletal system, especially in joints that are functionally overloaded or due to body weight.

Do not use in case of hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any of the excipients.

Do not use in animals that are epileptic or suffer from convulsions, as enrofloxacin may cause CNS stimulation. Do not use in young dogs during their growth period, e.g. in small breed dogs less than 8 months old, in large breed dogs less than 12 months old, in very large breed dogs less than 18 months old, due to the known effects of quinolones on joint ligaments. Do not use in cats less than 8 weeks old, as the safety and efficacy of the product have not been evaluated.

Dosage and administration

Cattle, sheep, goats: (2.5 – 5 mg s.a./kg b.w./day s.c.): 1.25 – 2.5 ml/50 kg b.w. every 24 hours, for 3 days. In severe respiratory infections or salmonellosis, 2.5 ml/50 kg b.w. is administered, every 24 hours, for 5 days.

Pigs: (2.5 – 5 mg s.a./kg b.w./day i.m.): 1.25 – 2.5 ml/50 kg b.w. every 24 hours, for 3 days.

Dogs, cats: (5 – 20 mg s.a./kg b.w.): 0.5 – 2 ml/10 kg b.w. every 24 hours, for 5 days.

Withdrawal period

Meat and offal: cattle -7 days; sheep, goats -14 days; pigs -10 days

Milk: cattle -5 days; sheep, goats -7 days

Presentation form 20 ml, 50 ml and 100 ml bottle in a cardboard box.

Shelf life Shelf life of the veterinary medicinal product as packaged for sale: 2 years.

Shelf life after first opening the immediate packaging: 28 days.
